SHRINK TUBES

Shrink tubes are rugged, semi-rigid tubes with a very thin wall construction. They are particularly suitable for applications requiring high temperature resistance, excellent abrasion and puncture resistance, and excellent resistance to a wide range of fluids.

  • The tubing provides electrical insulation and strain relief for components exposed to high temperatures – either during operation or during sterilization.
  • They can be sterilized.
  • Made of Class VI plastic materials (contact with injection material and body fluids or tissue).

Medical-grade, flexible, polyolefin heat-shrinkable tube

This specification covers the requirements for a type of single-wall, electrically insulating, extruded tubing whose diameter reduces to a specified size (230°F) when exposed to heat in excess of 110°C.

  • Very flexible and pliable. Suitable e.g. for flexible pliers.
